At day 12-15 the Bluebird nestling's eyes are fully opened.
Its primary feathers are beginning to unsheath exposing the brightly colored feathers of the males,
and the more subdued feathers of the female.
The nestling leaves the nest (fledges) in about 21 days.
The nestlings pictured are 21 days old, and had fledged by the following day. |
